FORUM for strengthen the national enforcement of the CLP regulation was hold

29 Countries from the European Economic Area (EEA) sent 70 participants to ECHA in Helsinki on 25 January 2011 to strengthen the national enforcement of CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging Regulation).
The Forum for Exchange of Information on Enforcement brought together national trainers to work towards a common approach to ensure the harmonised enforcement of the CLP regulation.

The skilled trainers will cascade their knowledge through training events in their own countries, thereby increasing the competence of national inspectors. Well trained inspectors are the fundamental requirement for the effective enforcement of CLP and the resulting high level of protection of human health and the environment.

What is enforcement?

Enforcement of REACH and CLP means, generally, a range of actions that national authorities initiate to verify the compliance of the duty holders with REACH and CLP Regulations. For example, this includes checking whether the substance has been registered or pre-registered or verifying the presence and correctness of the Safety Data Sheets.

This forum is an alert to industry, which reminds related enterprises to compliance with CLP regulation completely.
